Carl is a down-and-out late-20something. While “lovable loser” doesn’t exactly describe him (because that’s WAY too hackneyed and cliche), he’s basically a lovable loser. He logs thankless hours at a faceless dubbing and translation house in the city, slaving away for his tough boss Ms. Raffensperger.

Despite his best efforts, he always seems to botch even the most simple of jobs; matching overdubs to the proper audio track. Bolivian PSAs, Estonian sitcoms, Jewish newscasts, French art-house films; the results of Carl’s efforts in the dubbing bay are nothing short of horrific.

How will he see his way out of this tirelessly looping overdub of an existence?
